Who We Are

We’re Mark and Amy Wiersma. And these are our kiddos — aren’t they cute?

We live in the Pacific Northwest and love to take Jesus at His word. We are passionate Jesus followers, and love His Word and His voice to us. We are passionate about sharing the things God opens our eyes to in the Bible, seeing believers walk into real, intimate friendship with the living God, and creating tools and spaces to go deeper with God.

We are writers, dreamers, community builders, faith-inspirers and hope-bringers. When we’re not here you’ll find us traipsing around with our kids, hiking, exploring, and finding adventures… preferably with coffee in hand! We love hosting, finding the dreams God put in people’s hearts, wrangling kids, writing music, working together, and Thursday mornings… because it’s when the garbage truck comes! :)

We pray here you find the Presence of God.

How We Got Here?

We grew up in Christian homes, loving Jesus and gave our lives to Him at young ages. Somehow, Amy from Oregon and Mark from Wisconsin, both made our way to Bible College in the prairies of Canada. We knew God was real and we were passionate about serving Him, but we knew God as more of a concept, not a real, living, interacting God. In fall 2014 God showed up and changed our lives forever. We discovered He was real, loves to interact with us, and is still on the move today!

About Mark

Mark is a husband to his best friend (Amy ;) ), and a dad to 3 amazing boys: Judah, Elias, and Kaden.

He has a high value for family and for crafting a new killer dad joke.

He loves grabbing a coffee and exploring all things outdoors, laughing until there are tears, and having good conversation with friends close enough to call family!

When he’s not busy growing out his beard, you can find Mark enjoying Amy’s baking, preaching to her about the Scripture he just read, telling Jesus stories (especially to his boys), or writing music.

You can find Mark’s songwriting HERE!

About Amy

Amy is a lover of Jesus, mama to four, and wife to her Love, Mark.

Amy is a writer, encourager, and chaser of beauty. She is passionate about spending time one-on-one with the Lord so she can take others to that sacred, intimate place. Amy aches for people to see God as he really, truly is, fall in love with Him, and choose to follow Him wholehearted. She is a gatherer at heart and loves to create places and spaces where people can discover community and even more, the heart of God.

She is a lover of deep, heart conversation and loves hearing the dreams in people’s hearts.

On the weekends you can find her wrangling kids, going on family adventures, baking up a new treat, or dreaming of spontaneous trips to the ocean.

We believe...

We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, existing as one God, together.

We believe in God the Father, who loves us all tremendously, who gave His Son, Jesus, to come to our earthly mess, die on the cross, and rise again the third day to rescue us from all this unimaginable darkness and hopelessness and sin, because of His unimaginable love for us. We believe He is all-powerful and holy, and to be revered and feared. And yet, He is also gentle, and compassionate, and kind--a true, good and amazing Father.

We believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Sent to earth as fully God and fully man. That He is the image of God the Father, and reveals what He is really like. That He died on the cross, endured pain and suffering and shame, because He loves us so great and because He wants to spend forever with you and with me--together in heaven--forever. And that by the power of God He rose three days later, tearing the curtain veil and making access to the God Himself, available to all. (Hebrews verse)

We believe in the Holy Spirit, that He is within every believer, filling us, and giving us God's power to do what we could not do on our own. That He is our teacher (verse), helper (verse), and the living God living inside of those who have given their lives to God (verse), and that He is intimately involved in our everyday lives--whispering, prompting, moving among us.

We believe in the authority and infallibility of the Bible, God's Word and love letter to us. That it holds authority in our lives and is our guide book in how to live the most thriving life, and His Love Letter to us, the story of Him--God--and His massive, unimaginable love for us.

We believe that we are all sinners, saved by God's miraculous, astounding grace, and that He has redeemed us and called us His children (verse), His workers (verse), and His friends. (verse)

We believe in the Church--oh! we believe so much in and love--God's beautiful Church, His bride. And that she is the hope of God on the earth. And oh, we are so keenly aware the Church--the people of the Church--has caused so many so much pain. And for that we are truly, and deeply sorry. The church is made of individuals who are human and flawed and so imperfect, and would you forgive us and try again? The Church, she can rise up to be the most beautiful, magnificent, bringer of hope in the world--all of us, with God as our Head.

We believe that we each--individually--have a role to play in being God's hands and feet on the earth. If one doesn't offer his or her gift, we all miss out. We believe God has put something unique and powerful in each and every one of us, and that it is our joy and privilege to discover those unique things and let them out for the glory of God! (You have a unique--and significant--role in His Big, Beautiful Story.)

We believe God is real, active, and still on the move today. He's not a concept or a nice, old-fashioned idea. He is real, living (verse) and working in and among each of us today, just like He did in Bible times.

We believe no one is too old, too far gone, too messed up for the miraculous gift of the cross of Jesus. God loves you extravagantly and gave His life on the cross, so He could get a chance at forever with you. All you must do is receive His gift: the gift of His loving embrace--His arms flung wide open on the cross--for you, and give your life to follow Him and His ways.
